Neuschwanstein CastleThe world's most famous castle is the castle of Neuschwanstein located in Bavaria Germany. It was made by King Ludwig in 1869. It is believed that the king did not allow any visitors in his castle as well as photography in its interior. However, after the death of the King, the castle was open for visitors from all over the world.
The striking thing about the castle is that it was used in quite a few movies, and also served as an inspiration for Sleeping Beauty Castle at Disneyland Park and Hong Kong Disneyland.
Castle HistoryIt was built on the top of a mountain by King Ludwig II in 1869. It took almost 11 years for the construction of this castle and then it served as the residence of King Ludwig. Neuschwanstein castle was designed by Christian Jank.

April-September: 0900 - 1800 hours
October-March: 1000 - 1600 hours
Chambord CastleThe Chambord castle of France is one of the famous castles. It is mostly known for its blend of traditional French and classical Italian arts. The Chambord castle is located in Loire Valley, France. The castle was built in Renaissance style; however the construction was never completed by King Francois I.
Castle HistoryIt was built in about 20 years of time; from 1519 to 1547. It is believed that the great artist Leonardo Da Vinci was one of the artists who designed the castle. The castle was the original residence of King Francois I.

Krak Des ChevaliersLocated in Syria, this castle is the best preserved and most commendable castle in the world. It is famous about the castle that the Knights Hospitallers were the ones who modernized and developed it as the most eminent work of military architecture of its time.
Castle HistoryIt was built in 1031 in the east of Tripoli, Lebanon. The castle was made not as a luxurious building but as a defense structure.
From 1099 to 1150, many historical kings and princes occupied the castle and finally it became the headquarters of the Knights Hospitaller during the Crusades in 1150. It was then that they modernized it and developed it further, and they expanded it mainly for military purposes.
